Oh. My. Gosh. This was hands down one of the BEST shoots I’ve ever done! Today I’m telling Ashley and Eric’s real life happily ever after story where Eric proposed in the Magic Kingdom.

Ashley and her family had been coming to Disney for years when she was growing up. She developed a love for Disney and the characters. Among her favorites are Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Ariel from the little Mermaid. She must have known he was the one right when she met Eric because she would literally have a Prince Eric for the rest of her life <3

Ashley’s family was amazing because they worked with Eric to pull off an epic surprise proposal in the Magic Kingdom. First of all, they disguised the trip as a birthday celebration for her mom, so she was totally unaware the trip was for her. Then, all the people she loved in the world flew in from all over the country- her grandparents, friends, Eric’s family, and they all snuck into the Magic Kingdom before her immediate family got into the park early early in the morning.

Ashley’s mom had printed off all these pictures of Ashley going to Disney growing up, and 13 people lined the path leading up to the castle. Meanwhile, Ashley’s sister, upon entering the park with the family, took Ashley to Starbucks on Main Street and the rest of the family and Eric ran up to the front of the castle and took their positions.

Finally down Main Street they came, and here is the moment when Ashley saw them! She walked down and saw all her loved ones and finally figured out something was up!!

Finally THE MOMENT. Ashley gets her real life happily ever after!!!!!!

Her family was SO EXCITED. They even brought a change of clothes for Ashley and Eric so that their shirts reflected their engagement!!!

After all the excitement had died down, we ran around the park and took some photos together before finally allowing the love birds to ride some rides and actually do their day in the park. It was a magical moment. It’s shoots like these that make me so grateful that I get to do what I love to do. I love being there for people on the very best days of their lives.
