Timeless Black and White Engagement Photos

Elisha came to me with a really specific vision for her engagement photos which I instantly fell in love with- an all black and white photo series of high fashion downtown photos. We were inspired by an all black and white series that Elisha found, and we worked together to create the feel and flow of the session. We wanted high fashion, very timeless and classic, and all black and white.

To make her vision come to life, I location scouted several locations downtown Indianapolis. We knew we wanted some indoors and some outdoors, and we wanted a high end, downtown feel to the photos. I had done a very similar shoot in New York City last summer, and so I wanted to bring the glitz and the glamour of NYC to Indianapolis, which actually has a lot of beautiful locations.

Our favorite stop along the way was a boutique hotel in downtown Indianapolis- Le Meridien. They were so gracious to allow us to shoot through their beautiful lounge, and even let us into their wine cellar for some photos. It had the perfect blend of texture, classic decor, and some modern edge that fully encapsulated what we were going for.

This was one of my favorite engagement shoots ever! I had so much fun designing and shooting this engagement. These two are so adorable and I cannot wait until their wedding this summer!
