Bridgerton Editorial Shoot at the Indianapolis Propylaeum
If you want a wedding that feels like it was pulled out of 1800’s Europe, a la Bridgerton Style, this wedding is going to give you major decoration inspiration. This is my Bridgerton Style Editorial shoot, which was meant to feel like a European destination wedding, but…. it wasn’t in Europe at all!!
This shoot took place at the beautiful Indianapolis Propylaeum, which is an undiscovered gem of Indianapolis. Many brides don’t realize that there is a european style manor home ready for them to host their wedding in downtown Indianapolis. This historic home housed women’s rights activists and is now used for weddings, bed and breakfasts, and historical tours. One of the unique parts of the Propylaeum is that every room has a fireplace and a distinct theme, so being able to host an event here is unlike any other venue you will find.
The vision for the shoot was an intimate, European style wedding and dinner, almost as if it was being hosted by the family that lived in this manor home. We follow the bride into many different rooms as she prepares for her wedding day, sets the table, and reads notes from her lover. It really allowed us to slow down and focus on the anticipation that a bride feels on the wedding day and how excited she is to be joined with her future spouse.
The details are what makes this shoot magical. Starting with the stationary which came from Twin Sisters Designs. Jill really understood how to take the old fashion calligraphy and invitation style and throw in the gold foil and pressed look to really make these dynamic, high end invitations still feel old world. Combined with the lovely floral pairings of B. Eloquence and the Veragio Engagement Ring from Alexander Fine Jewelers, the detail suite was out of This world!
The beautiful Wedding dress was from Wedding Studios Carmel, and this gorgeous Martina Liana Bridal was giving me all the bridgerton vibes. The low lace sleeves are detachable, but it gave that old fashion elegance while being extremely modern at the same time. This dress was dripped in lace and every part of it felt like a fairy tale princess dress.
The formal hall was decked for the reception dinner. Linens from A Classic Party Rental and European Chairs from Violet Vintage Rentals really pulled the Ballroom Reception hall together. The florals on the table and mantle made this feel like dinner for a Prince Charming and Princess.
If you love this shoot and would like to work with any of the vendors that made it possible, here is my list of amazing people who make this gorgeous shoot a reality!!
