Aira and Vince: In love in Venice

This has got to be one of my top favorite shoots of all time. Aira and Vince were doing a grand vacation, stopping in multiple places around the world. One of their stops was in Venice, Italy, and they asked me to take some pictures of them while they were in one of the most romantic cities in the world.

We started off by the Piazza San Marco, by the water and watched the sun come up. We walked up and down and watched as the sailors got the Gondolas ready for the day. We walked up to Saint Mark's Basilica and through the main square.

We then got lost through the seemingly endless maze of cobblestone streets and river roads. As we walked I couldn't get over how Italy was exactly as I had imagined it would be- it was as if it were frozen in a different time. Boats were going up and down the rivers delivering goods to the stores and collecting trash from the night before, delicious smells were starting to come from bakeries and the city seemed to slowly start to wake up.  

We finally made it to the Grand Canal, one of the most photogenic spots in all of Venice. We stood on the famous Rialto Bridge and walked up and down the canal. We grabbed breakfast from one of the bakeries and continued to explore. 

Finally was the moment I was waiting for!! We rented a Gondola and went on a beautiful tour of the city from the perspective of the water. It was perfect. Aira and Vince were able to have some romantic time together as I took pictures and captured the love they had for each other. When we went under the Rialto Bridge, the Gondoleer told us to make a wish and it was supposed to come true.

My dream already had come true. I was in Italy taking photos of a beautiful couple. It was a wonderful experience getting to know them and being able to do some exploring of this amazing city!
